Birth Doula Skills Workshops: Semi-Private

The best way to learn how to be the doula you are going to be is to do it somewhat privately. Here's what this pathway entails:
- Fill out the interest form at the bottom of this page
- Kate will pair you with another interested student doula (sometimes there is a group of 3) and we will set logistics for our training day together
- Once logistics are set, students will be invoiced for the training ($585)
- All students are sent the prerequisite class link (no charge)
- We spend one day together, learning the basics
- Each student will have a 3 hour private session with Kate in the week following the training to go over their own personal pathway and what they plan to do.
- Students will also get a discount code for the Advanced Doula Trainings that Kate offers

Frequently Asked Questions:

Once this workshop is over, will I be a doula?

The short answer is "yes".  You will not be certified as a doula until you finish the requirements as laid out in your BAI manual (you will receive this at our training). HOWEVER, you will be equipped to offer support in the birth room at the end of this training and you will leave feeling prepared to complete your certification and build your business. For more information on what it takes to complete certification. Click HERE.

What will be covered at the training?
We will cover the role of the birth doula and the needs of the birthing person and family throughout each stage of labor. BAI takes our trainings to another level in that we create space for an introspective journey as you become a birth doula so we will be focusing on those aspects as well as business practices and how to make yourself successful. This is the most comprehensive training available, you will be very happy with it!

"I spent the entire weekend at a doula training. Before going I was excited to finally get certified but not really looking forward to the training (it is a long story as to why I have attended 300+ births and never certified... easiest explanation is it wasn't a big thing 16 years ago). I have to tell you this was hands down the best training I have ever attended! 3 days of training and I am totally looking forward to going to my next birth"
