Semi-Private Training ~ $525.00

***On hold until 2022

You will be paired with 1-2 other doula(s) at a similar experience level as you and the small group will learn together all day on Day 1, discussing labor and birth and all of the details of doula work. The second day will be divided into 1:1 private sessions with just you and Kate!  This is where you will learn about BAI specifically and how to get your business set up the way it will work best for you or how to focus on goal-setting for the next phase of your career. This option was launched in 2019 with amazing success for the new doulas who were introduced to the community. Kate is continuing this model to limit exposure during the COVID-19 Pandemic while continuing to provide training for doulas.

Semi-Private Training Inquiry Form

"I spent the entire weekend at a doula training. Before going I was excited to finally get certified but not really looking forward to the training (it is a long story as to why I have attended 300+ births and never certified... easiest explanation is it wasn't a big thing 16 years ago). I have to tell you this was hands down the best training I have ever attended! 3 days of training and I am totally looking forward to going to my next birth"

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I bring my children?
We welcome young babes in arms during the breaks and nursing infants are allowed at anytime, but we do require that you have daytime care with you at the training as this is a highly interactive and intense training and you don't want to miss any part of it. Nursing toddlers are welcome at the breaks and if you need to plan ahead for these, Kate will send you the daily schedule!

Once this workshop is over, will I be a doula?

The short answer is "yes".  You will not be certified as a doula until you finish the requirements as laid out in your BAI manual (you will receive this at our training). HOWEVER, you will be equipped to offer support in the birth room at the end of this training and you will leave feeling prepared to complete your certification and build your business. For more information on what it takes to complete certification. Click HERE.

What will be covered at the training?
We will cover the role of the birth doula and the needs of the birthing person and family throughout each stage of labor. BAI takes our trainings to another level in that we create space for an introspective journey as you become a birth doula so we will be focusing on those aspects as well as business practices and how to make yourself successful. This is the most comprehensive training available, you will be very happy with it!
