Justine Villanueva (she/he/they)
Postpartum Doula
About Justine:
Justine was introduced into postpartum doula work after having her own little one in 2023. After having her child, she wanted a different career that accommodated having more time to spend with her young child. A close friend, who had already been a birth professional for a couple years, suggested that she look into becoming a postpartum doula. Justine experienced the isolation and lack of community first hand as a new parent, and after learning the role of a postpartum doula, she gained a passion for building community and providing compassionate, hands-on support to new parents during the vulnerable and isolating postpartum period. She knew this was the right step towards a new career. Justine obtained her postpartum doula training with DONA in 2024 and began working as a postpartum doula shortly after.
