About Joy:
Joy has worked with children for as long as she can remember. Being an older sister to six siblings meant caring for little ones has always been a part of her. She has been a lead infant teacher, an International Au Pair, and was a private nanny for over 10 years. Her transition into the world of birthwork was a natural progression. With a passion for nurturing families as they adjust to their new roles, Joy strives to provide gentle, unbiased, and wholehearted support to all families. The postpartum period is such a vulnerable and transformative time, and she believes advocacy shouldn't end at birth.
Outside of work, Joy's personal life is filled with adventure and wonder. She is an avid traveler and recently became a certified scuba diver. She lives in a beautiful old house with her fiance and beloved dog, Onion. She spends most of her time cooking intricate meals, reading weird books, gardening, rollerblading, and making wonky pottery. Joy is a firm believer in community, being a good neighbor, and at her core is an absolute nerd.
