About Annie:
Annie brings over 3 decades of experience as a licensed midwife here in WA state, birth and postpartum doula trainer, educator and doula. She holds a certificate in Midwifery, a Masters degree in Maternal Child Health Systems, and is completing her PhD. She also holds certifications in breastfeeding support, infant mental health, emotional social development of infants and toddlers, and more. She has happily raised three wonderful boys - now grown men - and couldn't be prouder of them. Annie lives on Kitsap with the family cat, and enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and walks in our beautiful PNW.
Additionally, Annie has held the position of Clinical Advisor at Open Arms Perinatal Services since June 2017, and operates EV Delivery, a zero-emission courier service, since October 2015. Previously, Annie was the Program Director at Open Arms Perinatal Services from 2007 to 2015 and Program Manager at Puget Sound Neighborhood Health Centers from 1996 to 2001, where significant contributions included the creation of community health worker doulas programs and oversight of OB teams.

Annie's Training:
Annie's education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership and Change from Antioch University, a Master of Arts in Maternal Child Health Systems from Bastyr University, and a Master's level Certificate in Midwifery from Seattle Midwifery School.
