Birth and Postpartum Doula Packages
During your labor, a birth doula becomes a vital part of your support team. We are trained in labor coping techniques, can offer much needed breaks to other family or friends, and can help to give perspective on the laboring process. Doulas attend your birth wherever you are, whether that’s at a hospital, birthing center, or in your own home. Throughout history doulas have been shown to help women be more satisfied with their birth experience, feel more empowered, and statistically can help women to have:
- 50% reduction in the cesarean rate
- 25% shorter labor
- 60% reduction in epidural requests
- 40% reduction in pitocin use
- 30% reduction in analgesia use
- 40% reduction in forceps delivery

- 24/7 Email/text/phone support from the time of hire through 3 months postpartum.

- 1-2 postpartum visits
What we bring to your birth:
- Emotional support of mom and partner
- Pain coping techniques, positions, massages, and distractions
- Guidance in the decision making process that comes with the flow of labor
- Support for each stage of labor, from the onset of labor, through pushing and birth, and remaining with the family until they are settled (usually 2-3 hours after birth)
- Support of your birth plan, no matter what that is

Kate Rollins offers her postpartum doula services at $30/hr
- One prenatal meeting (complimentary)
- Layout family's expectations and go over Doula Contract
- Orientation of family home and go over early parenting plans
- Postpartum care is offered in 2-4 hour shifts
- 24-7 email/phone help from the time of hire through 6 months postpartum
- Access to our reference list and our library of books and DVDs
What we offer in your home:
- Emotional support of mom, partner, other family in the home
- Lactation support and baby feeding tips
- Baby care and guidance
- Light housekeeping, cooking, and meal planning
- Quick family errands

Kate Rollins offers her postpartum doula services at $30/hr
Lactation Support
Sometimes, a family is in need of only one or two visits from a Lactation Professional. Kate Rollins offers this service to clients who are having breastfeeding troubles:
Free Phone Consultation - Kate is a breastfeeding educator and counselor, and trained to handle most breastfeeding issues. If you experience some issues that she is not equipped to handle she will refer you accordingly at this initial consultation to a Lactation Consultant, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist. If your issues are something she is confident she can assist you with, she will arrange a visit.
Initial Visit ($65) - In-home two hour visit to work on breastfeeding. At this time, follow up visits (if needed) will be arranged.
Follow up visits ($25/hr) - These will be arranged as needed. No minimum.
